FAQs
When is the RSVP deadline?
We would love to receive your RSVP by Friday, February 14th, so we can get an accurate headcount for the weekend’s events and organize transportation accordingly.
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invitation for your +1.
What’s the deal with events and accommodations in two different states?
Rest assured that all of the weekend’s events are less than 20-minutes from downtown Portsmouth, NH. Our wedding venue, Scotland Fields, in York, ME is just a quick, 16-minute drive from downtown Portsmouth, NH. We opted to encourage folks to stay in Portsmouth, NH due to the quantity and variety of accommodation options. Though ridesharing services are not so prevalent in the area, there is more availability in Portsmouth, NH than in the nearby Maine seacoast towns, like Kittery, York, and Ogunquit. Plus, there’s no sales tax in New Hampshire. :)
What’s the best way to get to/from the weekend’s events?
The Night Before: on Friday evening, please feel free to drive/carpool or take the bus that we have arranged.
The Ceremony: on our wedding day, bus transportation will be provided from the Hilton Garden Inn in Portsmouth, NH to Scotland Fields. Bus transportation will also be provided from Scotland Fields to the After Party in Portsmouth, NH.
The Morning After: on Sunday, please feel free to drive/carpool or enjoy a leisurely 15-minute walk from Portsmouth, NH, over the Memorial Bridge, and onto Badgers Island.
Are kids allowed at any of the weekend’s events?
To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a weekend of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that you leave your little ones at home.
Any recommendations on what to wear?
We’re so glad you asked! Feel free to peruse our Pinterest board to inspire your outfitting for our Wedding Day.
When selecting your footwear, please bear in mind that the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas are on grass and gravel surfaces, with the exception of the dance floor :). For those wearing heels, we recommend block heels or wedges.
